Introduction to Intarsia Cushion Cover Workshop

If you can do both knit and purl stitch with confidence you can progress onto Intarsia.

Intarsia technique is often used for sweaters with large, solid colour features or ‘picture jumpers’. In this workshop with Judith from Needlecase, you will learn techniques needed to get started on knitting with multiple colours. You will be provided with lots of hints and tips to achieve a neat finish. You will begin by earning about changing colours, following a chart, and experimenting with creating different shapes, before progressing onto starting your own Designer Dachshund cushion cover.

£50. inc materials.

You will need to bring: a selection of needles e.g. 3.25, 3.5, 4, 4,5 and 5 mm, For the cushion you will need 3 mm needles and 2.75 mm for the edgings.

You will receive a kit containing: Practice yarn, pattern, 4 buttons, sufficient yarn for the cushion cover (James Brett DK with Merino). 

Maximum of 6 students per course, minimum 2.

Some previous experience required.

Start on the course, finish later.
