Polymer Clay Buttons Workshop

10.30am to 12.30pm on Thursday 7th August 2025

In this new workshop with Becky McMurray from unique4us, you will:

· Learn to make a set of your own buttons after being shown the basics

· Make concentric circle buttons (example as pictured, but in your own colour way)

· Find out how you can mix colours, use the polymer clay, and design your own buttons

· Have a fascinating potted history lesson about the humble button

You will go home with a set of buttons ready to fire hard on your tile, in a domestic oven.

Alternatively, Becky can arrange to send out your buttons after firing, for an additional postal charge.

Buttons made with polymer clay can be washed in a machine at 40⁰C.

Becky has successfully made and sold buttons for over a decade – her buttons are quirky, often brightly coloured and intricate in design.

Cost includes light refreshments and materials.

You will need to be happy getting hands dirty, and it would be better not to wear rings that may collect the clay. Please have an old shirt or apron to protect your clothing.

Experience: Suitable for beginners. Maximum 6 students per course.
