Christmas Buttons Workshop

Make your own unique and quirky set of Christmas buttons!

This workshop with Becky McMurray from unique4us is aimed at both improvers and complete beginners. Becky has successfully made and sold buttons for over a decade. Her designs are quirky, often brightly coloured and intricate in design.

In this workshop you will:

· Learn to make unique buttons. Becky will show you the basics and techniques to create a set of 6 feature buttons of a design of your choosing (examples in the photograph)

· Find out how you can mix colours, use the clay and design your own buttons

· Have a fascinating potted history lesson about the humble button and discuss ideas for use of your fab new set of Christmas buttons!

You will go home with a set of buttons ready to fire hard on your tile, in a domestic oven. Alternatively, Becky can arrange to send out your buttons after firing, for an additional postal charge. Buttons made with polymer clay can be washed in a machine at 40⁰C.

Cost includes light refreshments and materials.

You will need to be happy getting hands dirty, and it would be better not to wear rings that may collect the clay. Please have an old shirt or apron to protect your clothing.
