Improvers Knitting – Baby Cardigan Workshop
Learn to knit a beautiful preemie baby cardigan with raglan sleeve shaping – suitable for the novice knitter category of Warkworth Show !
10.30am to 12.30pm on Friday 5th June 2026, and cost is £25
Join Liz for a 2-hour Knitting session, where Improvers will learn to make a cardigan for a baby. We’ll be working on a prem size to make progress during the workshop, but once you have these techniques under your belt, you can make a larger cardigan and Liz will explain how.
Cardigans can be donated to the hospital, if not needed.
We will work on:
· buttonholes
· shoulder shaping
· pattern detailing to make your design unique
Workshop includes: Sufficient DK yarn, buttons and pattern. Start on the day, finish at home, or you can attend our regular Craft and Chatter sessions for further support, on the 3rd Thursday afternoon monthly.
Please book for your session which will be held in our upstairs craft room. Numbers restricted to 6 per session.
Experience: Suitable for improvers i.e. confident casting on and off, plus knitting plain and purl.
You will need 4mm straight needles, 2 small or medium stitch holders and 4 stitch markers.
Tea and coffee are provided
