Improvers Knitting – Cable Headband Workshop

Learn to knit a beautiful cabled headband or narrow scarf

1.30 to 3.30pm on Friday 6th November 2026

Join Liz for this course which is an ideal introduction to cable knitting

You will learn to:

• combine a variety of stitches for texture including reverse stocking stitch
• knit simple cables
• join a seam using a bind off technique
• work with chunky or super chunky yarn

You will learn to do cable on the day and be provided with a pattern with links to videos that will help you to complete the project at home.

A 100g ball of chunky or super chunky yarn will be provided for your lesson and you will need to bring a pair of knitting needles to match your chosen yarn (between 6 and 10mm)plus a chunky cable needle. Available to purchase from Amble Pin Cushion with 10% discount on the day of the course.

Some basic knitting experience is required.

Tuition takes place in our upstairs craft room.

Tea and coffee are provided but please bring a packed lunch or purchase locally.

To secure you place please pay £5 deposit by Tuesday 3rd November 2026
Balance is payable on the day of the course.
